Help & Support

LooseLane gives you one small thing to go and find outdoors. Take a photo of it, give it a name if you want to, and it stays in your archive.

If something isn't working or you have an idea, write to [email protected]. A real person reads it.

Getting started

How does it work? Open the app and you'll be given something to look for. Head outside, find it, photograph it. That's the whole thing.

How many tasks do I get? Three a day. LooseLane+ raises that to ten and lets you choose what kind of task you want.

**Do I have to finish a task once I've started?**No. Leave it at any point using the back arrow. Nothing is recorded and nothing is lost.

What if I can't find what it's asking for? Tap "Something else" for a different one. Most tasks are meant to be arguable rather than exact — if you're reasonably sure you've found it, you've found it.

Your photos and your archive

Where do my photos go? They stay inside LooseLane on your device. They are not uploaded anywhere and they are not added to your photo library unless you ask.

**How do I save a photo to my camera roll?**Open the entry in your archive and tap "Save to Photos". To do it automatically for every task, turn on "Also save to Photos" in Settings.

Can I share what I've found? Yes. After finishing a task, tap "Make a card", or open any entry in the archive and tap "Share a card". LooseLane builds an image you can send wherever you like.

What are Collections? Your archive sorted by the kind of thing you've been finding — shadows, faces, things that grow, and so on. Open the archive and tap "Collections".

**Will I lose my archive if I get a new phone?**No, as long as you restore the new phone from a device backup. The archive is included. Deleting the app does delete everything.
